A tinted lithograph titled *Irish Brigade of New York*, published by Swinton & Fay at 290 Broadway in 1852, depicts Irish military personnel. Hatch & Severin drew the image on stone, and A. Champagne printed it, and the sheet was deposited for copyright on September 27, 1852. The name predates the Irish Brigade of the Army of the Potomac, which was formed during the Civil War, so the print offers a glimpse of how New York's Irish-American soldiers were presented to the public before that conflict.
