The title alone sets this poster apart from its shelf-mates: "Help Your-self" was a three-act comedy staged in El Segundo, California, in 1937, and the poster advertises it as a community production sponsored by the local Women's Club. The subject tags also point to banking, so the play was evidently a light satire on money and financial life during the Depression years. The poster is a silkscreen print from the Works Progress Administration's poster program, which employed artists to promote Federal theater Project productions across the country.
