Pavillon de sports, a design for a sporting club house, is plate 10 in *A Modern City*, a set of architectural designs by Rob Mallet-Stevens published in London by Benn Brothers in 1922. Mallet-Stevens, a Belgian-born architect who worked mainly in Paris, was among the figures shaping modernist architecture in the 1920s. This colored lithograph presents a recreation building as a clean, geometric structure rather than a traditional pavilion, reflecting the period's interest in streamlined form and the new civic life of leisure and sport.
