A handcolored lithograph by Jan Sawka, this poster announces a March 1981 show of his paintings and prints at the Ankrum Gallery in Los Angeles. Its edition of 150 and its hand-applied color set it apart from the mechanically printed gallery posters of the period, since each impression was colored by hand after the stone or plate was pulled. The sheet came to the Library of Congress as a gift from the artist, and its catalog record notes that the date and gallery details come from an older caption card that has not been independently verified.
