Alice Roosevelt, the lively daughter of President Theodore Roosevelt, is the focus of this c1905 print, which places her among the royal princesses named in its title. Her social life drew steady press attention during these years, and the record also lists William Howard Taft, then Secretary of War and a close Roosevelt associate. The photograph was made by Burr McIntosh, an actor who also worked as a photographer, and it shows the garden party setting that was a fixture of fashionable society in the 1900s.
