A color woodcut from the Pennsylvania unit of the WPA Federal Art Project, titled *Work with care*, addresses workers who operate machinery. A March 27, 1937 date stamp on the back shows the sheet was handled by that date, though the design itself is catalogued as 1936 or 1937. During the Depression, the Federal Art Project employed artists to make inexpensive posters for public information, and workplace safety was one of its recurring themes. Christopher DeNoon's catalog of WPA posters includes this example.
