This stereograph shows Woodberry, a view taken from Druid Hill Park in Baltimore and carried out as part of a numbered series, No. 220, by the photographer W.M. Chase. The card is undated, but its cataloging tags point to geography, parks, and monuments, which suggests it was sold as a scenic souvenir. Druid Hill Park was laid out in the mid-nineteenth century as one of the city's largest public green spaces, and views like this one were popular in the late 1800s, when viewers used a stereoscope to see the scene in depth.
