The Los Angeles production advertised here staged Barré Lyndon's comic crime play *The Amazing Dr. Clitterhouse*, the story of a respectable doctor who joins a gang of thieves to study the criminal mind. The play had already been a hit on Broadway before the Federal theater Project took it up in California. This silkscreen poster dates from 1938, when the Works Progress Administration employed theater workers and artists to keep productions running and offer affordable shows to audiences during the Depression.
