Published as No. 1061 by the Sterro-Photo Co. of Dolgeville, New York, around 1907, *The wedding breakfast* shows the meal that followed a wedding ceremony, a celebration that often took place at midday. Stereo cards like this one held two nearly identical photographs that merged into a single three-dimensional view when seen through a hand viewer, and they were a popular form of home entertainment in the early 1900s. The card carries a copyright notice in the name of C.A. Richmond, a sign that such scenes were registered with the U.S. Copyright Office before being sold in quantity.
