This 1919 color lithograph credits two Glasgow-based designers, Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh and Herbert Macnair, which links an American Army appeal to the Glasgow style of the period. Its title promises "adventure and action," and its subjects point to horse teams and artillery, the working heart of field artillery. Issued after the Armistice, when the Army was shrinking, it belongs to the recruiting campaigns that tried to draw young men into peacetime service.
