A glass negative titled "Sidney C. Roach, Mo.," with the title noted as unverified, a portrait of a man identified only by name and the abbreviation "Mo.," which may refer to Missouri. The National Photo Company, a Washington, D.C., commercial studio active in the early twentieth century, made the image, and its 1921–1922 date comes from neighboring negatives rather than this one. Visitors should note the streaks and blemishes on the glass, which come from deterioration of the original coating. The negative came to the Library of Congress as a gift from Herbert A. French in 1947.
