A senior class at South Side High School in New York staged this comedy, *It Never Rains*, in 1936, and the poster announces it as a three-act production. The play is credited to Aurania Rouverol, and the catalog subjects point to a plot built around an elopement, a common theme in 1930s stage comedy. The poster was printed in silkscreen under the Works Progress Administration, one of the New Deal programs that employed artists to make public notices for theater, concerts and community events during the Depression. A 1939 date stamp on the back suggests the sheet was kept or circulated for some time after the performance.
