Ethel Roosevelt, younger daughter of President Theodore Roosevelt, is shown here in 1908 on a New York City street with Cornelia Landon. The glass negative belongs to the George Grantham Bain Collection, the files of a news photo agency that supplied newspapers with pictures of public figures and city life. Ethel was in her teens and her father was in the final year of his presidency, but the title rests on caption information that has not been verified.
