This page from *Wonderland '98* shows a train of park coaches, the open-sided Concord-style wagons that carried tourists around the Yellowstone loop in the 1890s. Northern Pacific Railroad issued the *Wonderland* guides each year to draw travelers to the park, and this 1898 edition pairs its descriptive text with illustrations of the stagecoach tours that took visitors from the railroad's terminal at Livingston, Montana, to Old Faithful and other sights. Coaches like these, often pulled by teams of four or six horses, were the main way most visitors saw the park before automobiles reached it.
