The phrase "Now, all together" set this Treasury poster apart from the many war bond appeals of its time, and it was a call to join a single national effort. Cecil Calvert Beall, an illustrator, designed it for the Seventh War Loan drive in the spring of 1945, when the government was selling bonds to pay for the final stages of the war. The poster was printed by the Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C., and its source is an Associated Press photograph, which suggests it was drawn from a news image of the campaign. Posters like this one were displayed in post offices, banks, and storefronts to remind Americans that buying bonds was part of the home front effort.
