Catalogued as a 1912 World Series game between Boston of the American League and the New York Giants of the National League, this glass negative is tied to the Polo Grounds, the Giants' home park in upper Manhattan. Boston took that Series four games to three, with one game ending in a tie. The record's notes, however, place the scene at the right field corner of Fenway Park during a 1914 World Series, a year with a different matchup, so the location and date should be read with caution. The negative comes from the Bain News Service files, which supplied many newspaper photographs of the period.
