Few posters from around 1970 carry as pointed a satire as this one for *Little Murders*, Jules Feiffer's black comedy about urban violence. Feiffer wrote it as a play that opened on Broadway in 1967, and Alan Arkin directed the 1971 film version. The poster names Elliott Gould, Marcia Rodd, and Jon Korkes, with Gould and Rodd playing the couple at the story's center. Feiffer used a grim premise of random street crime and bystander indifference to mock New York's fears, and the film's dark humor still reads sharply today. The sheet itself is undated and carries no publisher, so it was most likely made for a theatrical run.
