A call to action in poster form, this item urges women to demonstrate on March 28 against New York's abortion laws. At the time, abortion remained a crime under state law, and protests like this one fed the feminist campaign for repeal, which succeeded in 1970 when New York legalized the procedure. The poster belongs to the wave of printed political graphics that circulated in the late 1960s and early 1970s, when the women's liberation movement relied heavily on cheap, quickly produced posters. Gary Yanker, who collected protest art, later included it in his 1972 book *Prop Art*.
