A young woman holds a pair of ice skates on this cover of *Motor*, the February 1924 issue of a British motoring magazine published in Sutton, Surrey. The illustration is by Howard Chandler Christy, the American artist best known for his idealized, fashionable women, whose style shaped magazine covers and advertising in the 1910s and 1920s. Library staff devised the title, since the record gives none from the original. The picture was included in the Library of Congress's 2002 exhibition *American Beauties*, which surveyed the Golden Age of American illustration.
