Few things in this gallery were made as small as this, since the Domino Discs were round cardboard pieces rather than the rectangular cards most collectors know. The American Tobacco Company issued them around 1909 to 1912, when cigarette and tobacco makers packed trading cards with their products to encourage repeat purchases and build collections. This halftone print comes from the Benjamin K. Edwards Collection, which preserves many such cards. Its title was assigned by Library staff, so the set name is the main identifying clue in the record.
