This view is of the Chicago and North Western Railway station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a detail that sets it apart from the company's views of Chicago itself. The print is dated around 1898 and was listed in the Detroit Publishing Company's catalog F in 1899. The firm sold large numbers of railroad and travel views like this one, and the linen mounting suggests it was built to last in a traveler's album or a display.
