Campbell's Hall is one of the chambers inside Luray Caverns in Page County, in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. The cave system was discovered in 1878 and opened to visitors soon after, and the room takes its name from one of the people connected with that find. Like many Virginia caverns, Luray became a popular destination in the decades after the Civil War, when travelers were increasingly drawn to the region's scenic and natural sites. The limestone formations in rooms like this one are a large part of what visitors came to see.
