Nearly all of this poster is in Welsh, so its appeal rests on the words themselves: *Rhaid wrth bob dyn gwerth ei gael*, roughly "Every man is worth having," followed by a call to enlist for the duration of the war. Daffodils run along the border, a nod to Wales, and the text suggests it was aimed at Welsh-speaking men. Issued by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee in London around 1915, it belongs to the voluntary recruiting campaign that preceded conscription in 1916. It was printed by Chorley & Pickersgill of Leeds and London and carries the number 30 in its series.
