The Tela Railroad Company is shown picking up another car of fruit in Honduras, a detail that sets this view apart from general scenes of freight trains. The Tela Railroad was a subsidiary of the United Fruit Company, and its line carried fruit from plantations on the northern coast to the port at Tela for shipment abroad. Published in the company's magazine, Unifruitco, in October 1948, the photograph shows how the firm chose to present its everyday shipping work to its own readers.
