Milk being delivered at the Toloa farm is the scene here, photographed for the Tela Railroad Company, a United Fruit Company subsidiary that operated rail lines in northern Honduras to carry bananas from plantations to the coast. The company ran the picture in Unifruitco, its own publication, in October 1948, and the caption files it under dairy production. The image is a useful reminder that the railroad's operations were supported by farming and food supply as well as the fruit trade.
