Carmen Lomas Garza's *Heaven and Hell* stands out for its gold leaf, which is set against a color lithograph built from seven separate plates. Rutgers' Center for Innovative Printmaking produced the 1990 work, and Eileen M. Foti printed it. Lomas Garza, a Mexican American artist from south Texas, is known for images of family life, community rituals and everyday customs in Texas-Mexican households, a focus that grew out of the Chicano art movement of the 1970s and 1980s. This impression is numbered 35 of an edition of 45 and signed in pencil, and the Library of Congress acquired it in 1993.
