Its slogan, "Une a tu voluntad la disciplina" (join discipline to your will), appeals to the viewer's own commitment rather than to orders, and it was printed in Barcelona by the anarchist CNT-FAI during the Spanish Civil War. The record attributes the design to Bofarull and lists working people and farmers among its subjects, alongside military personnel. The message reflects a real debate in 1936 and 1937, when anarchist militias, formed with loose command structures, faced pressure to adopt regimented discipline as the war demanded a more conventional army. Posters like this one were a main way those arguments reached ordinary people on the Republican side.
