The caption on this 1898 lithograph, "Oh! Maggie its the ghost of Mickey Flannigan," points to the comic ghost gag that ran through the Russell Brothers' show *Maids to Order*, and the crowded ship's deck in the design sets the scene. The H.C. Miner Litho. Co. of New York printed it under the direction of Whitaker & Crossley, and its subjects include cross-dressing roles, monkeys, and the racial caricature common on stage at the time, all worth viewing with a modern eye. The lower right corner and part of the top edge are missing.
