This negative records a 1924 meeting or gathering of David V. Mulvane, Jno. T. Adams, and a third party identified only as "Lodge," though the title comes from unverified data written on the negative or its sleeve, so the identities should be treated cautiously. The National Photo Company, which worked in Washington, D.C., from about 1907 to 1932, produced many portraits and news pictures of officials and public figures during these years. The glass plate shows streaks and blemishes from the deterioration of its original coating, which is typical of negatives of this age and part of what makes the surviving print worth examining.
