The title on this glass negative, Jno. Morrow of NM, gives only initials and a state abbreviation, and the label itself is unverified, so the sitter's identity remains uncertain. The plate dates to about 1924 and belongs to the National Photo Company's large early twentieth-century output, when its photographers recorded people, streets and landscapes across the country. Herbert A. French gave the negative to the Library of Congress in 1947. Look for the streaks and blemishes, which come from natural deterioration of the original coatings rather than from the scene itself.
