The Indian Court in the Federal Building at the Golden Gate International Exposition, held on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay in 1939 and 1940, is the subject of this silkscreen poster. Sponsored by the Federal Writers Project, it promotes the court and includes imagery of traditional Native subsistence, such as Navajo life and antelope hunting. The Works Progress Administration commissioned posters like this to advertise public events while employing artists during the Depression. The poster was later shown in the 2002 *American Treasures of the Library of Congress* exhibition.
