This poster advertises a 1899 revival of Charles Hale Hoyt's farce *A Trip to Chinatown*, and it singles out Mabel Montgomery as "the bewitching widow," a role built around mourning clothes and comic romance. The play, first staged in Boston in 1890, became one of the most popular long-running comedies of its day, and touring companies kept it before audiences for years. The lithograph was printed by the U.S. Printing Co. in Russell-Morgan's shop, with Fred E. Wright credited for its direction. Missing pieces along its edges are visible, which is typical of posters that were pasted up and handled outdoors.
