Titled "Ręka skaleczona nie może pracować" ("An injured hand cannot work"), this 1937 Warsaw poster by T. Trepkowski uses a hammer and a wounded hand to make its case for workplace safety. It was published by the Wydawnictwo Instytutu Spraw Społecznych, the publishing house of a Polish social affairs institute, and printed in color by Rotofot in Warsaw. Its "Plakat Nr. 41" label marks it as part of a numbered series. Posters like this formed part of the interwar push to reduce accidents among workers in manual trades, where protective gear was often scarce.
