Printed in Chicago in 1900, this color lithographic poster carries the slogan "McKinley Was Right," and its date and subject point to William McKinley's 1900 reelection campaign. The printer, Edwards, Deutsch & Heitmann, was a Chicago lithography firm that produced large commercial and political posters at the time. McKinley's running mate that year was Theodore Roosevelt, which links the piece to the Roosevelt story on this board. The record's details come from an old caption card and have not been verified, so the attribution and date should be read with that in mind.
