Catalogued at the Library of Congress as a single drawing, this sheet is attributed to Isoda Koryūsai, an Edo-period artist active from 1764 to 1788 and known mainly for woodblock prints. The record does not fully agree with itself. It gives a date of 1750, which falls before the artist's recorded working years, and its subject tags describe drawbridges in Tokyo and foreign visitors from 1850 to 1900, while its notes mention flowers and botanicals. Viewers should treat the date and subject tags as provisional until the drawing can be checked against the original.
