A deer dancer, shown in a costume and movement drawn from dances that appear in several Native communities, is the subject that sets this print apart from others on the board. The print is credited to Crumbo, Woody Crumbo, a Potawatomi artist from Oklahoma known for flat, outlined figures influenced by Woodland and Plains design. Made around 1952 as a silkscreen, it reflects how Crumbo used printmaking to reach wider audiences with his work. Its subject headings on clothing and dance make it useful for studying how Native dancers were portrayed in mid-century American art.
