Few subjects in this series were as specific as Dutch women, whom the title *Oranda fujin* names directly. Printed in 1861, the sheet belongs to *People of Various Nations*, a series of foreign-themed prints that caught public interest in the years after Japan opened its ports to trade and Western residents began living in Yokohama and Nagasaki. The signature reads Kuniaki, which points to a nineteenth-century artist of the Utagawa school. The record's attribution to Isoda Koryūsai, who worked roughly a century earlier, does not fit the 1861 date, so the name is probably a cataloguing error.
