Dana Andrews and Richard Conte share top billing on this color poster for *A Walk in the Sun*, the 1945 war drama directed by Lewis Milestone. The film follows a single infantry platoon over one day after its landing near Salerno, Italy, in 1943, and it was known for its unglamorous view of combat. The print does not name its publisher, which was common for studio promotional material of the period. Its tall, narrow format, 91 by 36 centimeters, is worth noting, since posters of this shape were designed to be displayed in limited spaces.
