The Hotel del Coronado, a sprawling wooden resort on Coronado Island across the bay from San Diego, is the subject here. Built in 1888, it drew wealthy winter visitors to Southern California for decades. The Keystone View Company of Meadville, Pennsylvania, issued this stereo card around 1928 so viewers could see the hotel in depth through a stereoscope, a popular parlor and travel novelty of the period.
