Cleveland's 125th anniversary gave this panoramic photograph its occasion: a July 29, 1921, game at Dunn Field in which the Old Timers defeated the Former Amateurs, 11 to 8. The wide format fits the whole group in one row, and the sitters' names and positions are labeled on the image, which helps identify the men who took part. F. A. Flowers submitted the print for copyright deposit on August 5, about a week after the game. The record also ties the players to the Cleveland Indians, so the picture documents the city's baseball community in the early 1920s.
