The Oriole team of 1921 is posed in a wide panoramic view, the format that made team pictures of the era feel like a full roster on one sheet. Panoramas like this were usually taken by traveling or studio photographers who set up a large camera and asked the players to line up in rows, often with coaches and team managers at the edges. The Orioles name appeared on many amateur and semi-pro clubs in the early twentieth century, so the picture is worth reading closely for uniforms, lettering and the men's arrangement, which show how a local club presented itself in 1921.
