What sets this print apart is its panoramic format, nearly 33 inches wide, with the players' signatures printed into the negative so the names appear within the image itself. S. A. Morrick, whose Cleveland address is listed on the record, registered it for copyright in April 1936, and that filing is how the picture is documented today. Cleveland's American League club played that season at Municipal Stadium, which had opened in 1932, and team portraits like this one gave fans and the club a formal record of the roster.
