A long panoramic print, about 31 inches wide, lines up the Cleveland American League club in a single row, with the sitters' names and positions labeled on the image itself. The print was registered for copyright by the Cleveland firm F.A. Flowers Co. in April 1920, weeks into a season the team would go on to win the American League pennant and then the World Series that fall, the first championship in the club's history. The season also brought tragedy, as shortstop Ray Chapman was struck by a pitch and died in August, a loss that still shadows the team's 1920 story.
