Titled *Set pieces*, this view shows an arrangement at the Arlington Hotel, a well-known Washington hotel near the White House, though the record does not say what the displayed items were. The negative comes from the National Photo Company, whose photographers documented the capital in the early twentieth century for postcards and publications. The record dates it only to between 1910 and 1935, and the glass has aged, so faint streaks and blemishes from the original coating are visible. Herbert A. French gave it to the Library of Congress in 1947.
