This color lithograph carries the name of Eleanor Robson, the English-born actress who won a large following on the American stage in the early 1900s. It was printed in 1903 by the Strobridge Litho. Company of Cincinnati and New York, one of the leading American firms producing theatrical posters at the time. Posters like this were pasted on billboards and shop windows, so their bold color and large lettering were meant to catch passersby long before they reached the box office.
