Here the enemy is not a rifle or a shell but a disease. The title, "L'autre péril" ("The other danger"), casts tuberculosis as a second threat beside the war, and the dagger and outstretched hands turn a health warning into a call to arms. Printed in 1918, when France was still counting its dead and its sick, the poster urges readers not to grow complacent, stating that the disease still threatens and must be defeated. Tuberculosis was a leading killer across Europe in these years, and wartime health posters often borrowed the imagery of combat to promote prevention and sanatorium care. It is signed by Géo Dorival, with G. Capon credited as a collaborator.
