Drawing on the battle cry of Dumas's *The Three Musketeers*, this color poster proclaims "All for one and one for all! Vive la France!" and announces an Allied tribute on July 14 at 5 p.m., the date of France's national holiday, Bastille Day. James Montgomery Flagg, best known for his Uncle Sam recruiting poster, designed it, and Carey Print printed the lithograph. The caption card dates it to the 1940s, when the Allies backed France's cause during occupation, though that date is unverified. The bold motto and patriotic appeal show how wartime posters used France's national symbols to rally support.
