Intrepid" is the only name the record gives for this June 1893 view, and the subject itself is not described. The 8 x 10 inch glass negative carries Detroit Publishing Company number 022028, which places it in the firm's numbered series of views. The company grew out of the Detroit Photographic Company, which in the 1890s was known for western scenes and travel-oriented images, including many from Colorado. The State Historical Society of Colorado gave the negative to the Library of Congress in 1949, and the attribution rests on the style of the title and numbering rather than a signed credit.
