The only identifying detail here is the name "Danise," a title the Library of Congress lists as unverified and taken from the negative or its caption card, with no date or place recorded. The picture comes from the George Grantham Bain Collection, made up of glass negatives from the Bain News Service, a New York photo agency that supplied news pictures to newspapers in the early 20th century. Bain's files cover politics, theater, sports, and everyday city life, and many of the captions were written quickly by staff, so names and dates often need checking against other sources.
