The title places this German-language poster on the Brenta and Piave rivers in northeastern Italy, where Austro-Hungarian and Italian forces fought through the last year of the war, and it advertises the film as the newest one from that front. The Piave became a symbol in wartime reporting after the Central Powers' June 1918 offensive there ended in a costly failure. The catalog record also lists coats of arms among its subjects, so heraldic imagery likely appears in the design. The multicolor lithography was typical of commercial posters printed in Germany at the time.
